Klaasvoogds is a small ward of the Robertson Wine district which is relatively unknown by name, but when discovered, visitors seldom want to leave. Just off the popular R60 between Robertson and Ashton, the Klaasvoogds Meander weaves through vineyards, guest houses, wineries and even a wellness centre and spa, with various accommodation options ranging from self-catering to four-star luxury.

Mo & Rose , the spot formally known as ‘Soekershof’ has been transformed into a new Wine Bistro Restaurant since new owners Monika and Axel took over in 2011. Now much more than a succulent garden and nursery, this Wine Bistro is situated in the beautifully renovated barn and overlooks the succulent gardens and surrounding mountains. Visit Mo & Rose here
Rosendal Winery & Wellness Spa is another definite to put on your list of things to do. Offering wine tastings 7 days a week between 10h00 and 17h00, guests can taste their way through the range of wines made by winemaker Therese de Beer, or even enjoy a wine tasting with a Lindt chocolate pairing for R45 per person. Rosendal is also the place for you if you feel like you need some pampering and their qualified spa therapists can whisk you away for a short massage or beauty treatment. you could even book a half day or full day package. Kranskop Winery has a spectacular sweeping view from their tasting room balcony and it is here that Newald Marais makes his range of boutique wines using a traditional basket press. Fraai Uitzicht Wine Farm & Restaurant was the first restaurant ever established in Klaasvoogds and is situated on the East side of the meander. The food, service and wine list continue to receive numerous awards and accolades with Sandra and Karl Uwe Papesch at the helm. The restaurant has a wonderful homely feel and their terrace is a wonderful place to enjoy a lazy lunch in the afternoon.
