Lodge units
Our comfortable and affordable lodge units are perfect for young families or couples looking for a budget-friendly country escape. Originally renovated in the late 1980s from one large clay outbuilding – once a barn, stables, and wine cellar – these units boast thick clay walls that naturally stay cool in summer and warm in winter. While the units do share a central wall, each has been carefully designed to ensure privacy, with its own entrance, facilities, and views in different directions. They are ideal for couples or small families of 3–4 people who want fresh country air, relaxed braai time, and space for kids to make new friends without breaking the bank. A simple, comfortable base where families and couples can unwind, reconnect, and enjoy the countryside.
Pine lodge unit
Sleeps 4 (1 couple + 2 singles)
Pine Unit is one of our recently renovated family lodge units now boasting a double volume ceiling with exposed wood beams, fully equipped for self-catering with everything you need for a relaxing farm break in the country.
Pine is fully furnished with all bedding (including feather duvets in winter & heated blankets), linen, bath towels, free Wi-Fi and a fully equipped kitchen with quality gas oven & gas stove for uninterrupted cooking. This unit has a gas geyser for hot water and boasts backup solar power in the event of a power outage.
The weatherproof braai area on the large undercover patio stoep with clear roof panels, includes all the braai utensils you need, plus a potjie pot for relaxed outdoor cooking. Comfort is guaranteed year-round with a cozy indoor wood-fired fireplace for winter. The main double bed is tucked in a cozy alcove off the open-plan lounge near the fireplace, while the bedroom features two single beds. The bathroom has a shower for your convenience.
