It’s Spring time, the blossoms are on the trees and everything is beautifully green from all the Winter rains. It’s the perfect time to get out of the city and discover the charm and warm hospitality of the Robertson Wine Valley!
The 10th annual Robertson Wine on the River festival takes place 16-18 October on the banks of the Breede River and this popular outdoor festival is a wonderful way to experience over 300 wines from the wine route all at one venue. The festival caters for children and adults alike and a variety of food stalls and activities are available at the venue. Early bird tickets are available until 30th September via Webtickets. As part of the Robertson Wine Valley’s Drink Responsibly campaign, there is a FREE shuttle service between the venue and the towns of Robertson, Bonnievale and Montagu. See Shuttle Schedules & Times
This year there will be a Duck Derby on Sunday 18th October with proceeds going towards the ‘Bonnie People Project’, whose vision it is to assist the children of the settlement in Bonnievale, with basics that include food, daily care, schooling and clothing as well as social skills development, building self-esteem and providing love and care. Tickets are R100 per entry and there is a R5000 cash prize for the winning duck in the individual entry and R5000 charity donation for the corporate race.
