Step into Farmhouse Erika, the original rambling farmhouse of the reserve, lovingly renovated over the generations to offer a welcoming retreat for families, friends, and celebrations. With seven spacious bedrooms, four bathrooms, and two comfortable lounges—one featuring a cosy fireplace and smart Wi-Fi TV—there’s plenty of room for everyone to relax. The large, fully equipped kitchen, with two fridges and a dishwasher, makes preparing meals a joy, while the generous indoor and outdoor entertainment areas invite shared laughter and long conversations.
Outside, the farmhouse truly comes alive. Gather on the undercover patio with its built-in braai or head to the larger open-air braai under the oak trees, complete with a campfire-style firepit, a massive No. 14 potjie pot, smaller potjies, and all the braai essentials. The lush private garden, with green lawns, shady oaks, and a small playground for children, offers the perfect setting for relaxed afternoons and memorable celebrations, including intimate weddings.
Farmhouse Erika comfortably sleeps 14 guests, but with its larger rooms—many featuring a double bed plus two singles—it can accommodate 20 or more. For festive events or larger gatherings, our noise policy ensures everyone enjoys their stay. Floor plans and rooming lists are available on request, making planning a group stay simple and stress-free.

For all private bookings at Pat Busch Reserve, a strict no-music policy applies. Unless the entire reserve is booked exclusively, private parties are not permitted without prior arrangement. Sound travels easily across the property at night, and loud music or shouting may disturb other guests. To protect the peace of our mountain reserve, no speakers or amplified sound are permitted at any time. Please keep voices and general noise to a minimum, especially outdoors. Quiet hours apply from 22h00. By respecting these rules, you help us ensure a tranquil nature escape for all guests. A refundable breakage deposit of R1000 is payable upon booking Farmhouse Erika. This is refunded within 7 days if there are no breakages & damages to the Farmhouse and its contents.
