Exclusive Cottages
Sitting in an outdoor hot tub under an African sky is the perfect antidote to stress and busy city living.
Our exclusive self-catering cottages are a notch above the rest. These cottages offer extra creature comforts such as outdoor wood-fired hot tubs, air-conditioning, hammocks, spa baths, walk-in showers, soft white percale linen, electric blankets & feather duvets for winter. Nightjar and Hadeda are situated a short distance away from the rest of our accommodation, with Nightjar cottage being more open & exposed, offering sunshine & views down the valley, while Hadeda cottage is more romantic, private & secluded amongst wild olive trees offering more shade & birdlife. These units are next to each other and can either be booked separately for 2-4 guests each, or together for a group of 6-8. Oak cottage overlooks our lush green meadow and has scenic views of the mountains with our ancient, sacred Oak tree in the foreground.
Nightjar Cottage
Our romantic Nightjar Cottage with two bedrooms (4 pax), has great views down the valley with plenty of sunshine & open exposure.
One bedroom sleeps a couple in a queen bed & in the second bedroom there are two ¾ beds for 2 singles (the beds can be pushed together).
Nightjar is one of our exclusive units and is fully equipped for self-catering with everything you need, including all percale bedding, feather duvets & electric blankets (for winter), linen & bath towels.
The kitchen is fully equipped & the braai has everything you need including a potjie pot.
Nightjar also has an indoor braai/fireplace for winter, and air conditioning for your comfort.
This cottage boasts complimentary Wi-Fi, a wood-fired hot tub, travertine tiled walk-in shower & indoor spa bath, two hammocks for outdoors & a rustic outdoor shower to cool off during those hot summer months.
Hadeda Cottage
Our romantic Hadeda Cottage has two bedrooms (4 pax) and is more secluded & intimate with a sheltered garden surrounded by shady trees & birdlife making it more private.
One bedroom sleeps a couple in a queen bed & the second bedroom sleeps a couple in a double bed.
Hadeda is one of our exclusive units and is fully equipped for self-catering with everything you need, including all percale white linen, feather duvets & electric blankets (for winter), linen & bath towels.

Oak Cottage
Oak cottage is one of our most romantic & private units, offering idyllic views of our ancient Oak tree, meadows & mountains.
With its Victorian style freestanding bath near the fireplace, high exposed ceiling trusses & gable window, relaxation & peace is sure to be high on the agenda. Fully equipped for self-catering with everything you need, including all comfy bedding (feather duvet in winter), percale linen & bath towels, kitchen & braai equipment for the undercover braai on the large stoep including a potjie for stews.
The main double bed is in the open-plan lounge overlooking the cosy fireplace for the winter months, while the travertine bathroom has a lovely walk-in shower.
Oak cottage has an inviting outdoor hot-tub on the patio of the cottage, perfect for a romantic evening under the stars. Having recently been renovated, it is clear why we recommend Oak as the Bridal Suite for our destination wedding couples.
